Our pediatricians take pride in maintaining the health and well-being of our patients through regularly scheduled health supervision visits. Health supervision appointments are scheduled with your primary care physician who will assess your child’s growth and development. Your physician will discuss feeding, elimination, sleeping, and behavioral issues as well as provide information to promote a safe, healthy lifestyle.

Health supervision appointments also offer the opportunity to have many of your questions answered. Patients who are 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for all health supervision appointments.Health supervision appointments are scheduled within 1 week after hospital discharge. Thereafter, visits will be at 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, and then annually starting at age 2.

We recommend strongly that immunizations be administered during the health supervision visits in order to protect against potentially harmful diseases. You may click here to view our immunization schedule.

Illness

Olivia phone

During regular office hours, our nurses are available to answer many questions over the phone. They can help you manage many illnesses or injuries at home or they can determine whether your child needs to be seen by one of the physicians.

Appointments for urgent illnesses are scheduled for the same day you call as well as most other sick appointments. We suggest that you call as early in the day as possible so that you may book an appointment that best fits your schedule. Patients who are 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is over 18 years of age for sick appointments.

Urgent Care

office

If you have an unforeseen medical emergency that requires immediate attention, you should call 911 or go directly to the nearest Emergency Room. Should you require other urgent care for an illness or injury, even if on a weekend or during evening hours, you should call our office before you go to the Emergency Room or Urgent Care Center.  We are available by phone 24/7. Most Urgent Care Centers are not staffed with Pediatricians and our doctors may be able to save you a costly trip. If you do go to the Emergency Room, please call us to schedule a follow up appointment.

If you call during evening hours, weekends, or holidays, please inform our answering service of your concerns and you will be contacted by the nurse triage service or the on-call provider. It is our policy to return after-hours phone calls as soon as possible. Please remove any blocks from your phone that would prevent the physician from reaching you. We suggest that you call the answering service a second time if you did not receive a return call within 30 minutes as the original message may not have been transmitted properly.

In the rare event that your after-hours phone call is not answered by the answering service at our office phone number at 781-383-8380, please call our answering service directly at 203-846-4343.
